KiteZanzibar.com aims to promote this great sport both locally and internationally.

Kitesurfing has only recently taken off here and Javier Oliveras was one of the first kitesurfers in Zanzibar. Today at Ras Nungwi there are 4 kitesurfers living here on a permanent basis.

Zanzibar is becoming a well-known location for kiting, and with steady winds 11 months of the year it has its advantages! The sea around Zanzibar is pristine, the water temperature really goes below 27 degrees, and the shallow lagoons which are protected by coral reefs make it ideal for kitesurfing.

The North kites are well-represented here; Javier has the North dealership for East Africa and is very helpful when it comes to buying or repairing equipment.

KiteZanzibar.com offers a wide range of services from kite courses, kite rental, storage, rescue and handles hotel bookings and reservations.

With over 11 years experience on the island, we consider our selfs to be the experienced in the industry and can offer the best advise to any one who's planning to come and purely and enjoy, or who wants to learn this amazing sport.
