KiteZanzibar.com aims to promote this great sport both locally and internationally.

Kitesurfing has only recently taken off here and Chris Goodwin was one of the first kitesurfers in Zanzibar. Today at Ras Nungwi there are 4 kitesurfers living here on a permanent basis.

Zanzibar is becoming a well-known location for kiting, and with steady winds 11 months of the year it has its advantages! The sea around Zanzibar is pristine, the water temperature really goes below 27 degrees, and the shallow lagoons which are protected by coral reefs make it ideal for kitesurfing.

Cabrinha kites are well-represented here; Chris has the Cabrinha dealership for East Africa and is very helpful when it comes to buying or repairing equipment.
